it's a total stunner.

this is the first time since we played utah state back in 1975 that we enter the tournament with a winnable game. it's just more testimony to the job krysko has done, and the respect montana is gaining nationally--and more reason to augment that salary before it's too late!

I was equally stunned - i thought the griz deserved a 14, and could slip into a 13, but to get a 12, and not against a 5 that really is a 5 and not a 3 that slipped to a 5, is unbelievable to me.

Fully credit Larry K and the buzz he has created. Also credit the selection committee for taking a chance on the Griz, and using a regional match-up to move the Griz up, and not down. I'm sure it helped that 7 of 10 people on the committee came from mid-majors, but you take advantages when you get them.

If memory serves, this is how Gonzaga got started on reaching elite status - got a good seed, made the most of it, and momentum builds.

If the Griz beat Nevada, or play them to the last second, the Griz should be able to get some quality teams to play next year, and the ball starts rolling.

I hear you. With a #12 I'd say we'd blow it under past coaches... even if the game was winnable, but I honestly believe we can win this game. :clap: :dance: :werd:

Love the tallent the Griz have, but even more so... I love how Krysko knows how to harness the talent. :thumb:
