Are you sure it's set to Salt Lake?

Half the time mine is set to SLC, and it thinks I'm in Germany.

It's what the Nord VPN map tells me. I originally tried Vancouver BC and it didn't like that one for the game, so I switched to Salt Lake.

Yeah, I'm on Nord also. Sometimes SLC is Los Angeles for me.

Utah is in Root sports viewing area.

I was under the assumption that it was only blacked out in Washington, Oregon, Montana and Idaho, as I was able to watch the game and the replay with my VPN set to Salt Lake.

Not that it really matters at this point because this was the last game covered by ROOT, but the tweet below has a map of their coverage area.

I'm pretty sure around 48 hours or so after the game, it is replayable on ESPN+, no matter what region you're in. I tried replaying the SUU game (which was on Root) and it comes up just fine (no vpn). I could be wrong about the timeline, but I believe it is just a matter of when.

It was actually available to replay later that night.

Not a replay, but a ton of plays.

I have watch quite a few game replays from "Matthew love Ball" on YouTube and he does a great jog condensing the games down, however, he tends to skip plays that don't have a significant offensive impact on the game. That means a lot of our stellar run defense didn't make the cut. Still worth the watch if you have 15-20 minutes.

1) Delete your web browsers cache.
2) Close your web browser
3) Start your VPN and select eastern location (E.g., Missouri)
4) Start your web browser.
5) Log in to ESPN +

The problem most of you are having is that ESPN + stays logged in with your original IP address. You need to log out of ESPN + if you can and then follow these directions. You also need a VPN that keeps you anonymous.

Which VPNs do you suggest? I have IP Vanish
I would ask others that get it to work what they use. I don't have to use a vpn where I am at.

I just went off Root Sports generic map. The only way I could really know is if I traveled around the country and tested each spot. :-)

I just had a thought. Some VPNs are not anonymous. You need one that states that it will make you anonymous on the internet.
