Red Zone

This team has struggled in scoring touchdowns in the red zone all three games. Coaches should visit with 1995 team and learn how to score.

They just need to find some sort of running game...whether they can is another question with that o-line

This must be a point of emphasis for the coaches leading into the conference schedule. We just bog down. With the inconsistent kicking game..we have to get in the end zone.

It's not just the OL; we don't have a RB we can depend upon.

but it starts up front, and without better execution from the o-line, it doesn't matter whom the RB is...

Definitely agree. When the backs get the ball, they have nowhere to go. Oline needs to be better.

I agree it starts up front, but we really do need to focus recruiting on a couple of tailbacks.

The Griz have a lot of tailbacks on the roster and not ONE of them is a senior. Nyguen, Counts, Logwood, Favors, Calhoun are the top five. Are any of them Big Sky caliber? I won't judge because I never played the game, but only one of them is on the current head coach and he's red-shirting, so yeah.

Might be time to try a new back...what's up with logwood? If he can't do better than what we have seen, maybe time to even pull a redshirt. Running game isn't cutting it, and without drastic improvement conference games will be lost

They're not going to pull the Calhoun's RS's. I'm not going to get into it more than that. It's not going to happen. PERIOD.

Good, they shouldn't. I am not going to bad mouth our current tailbacks...but it is a position we need to look at for the future. I don't think this is controversial....my wife can see it. Minus the fumble...I love Counts. We need to see more of him.

I wonder why they didn't go with that "heavy" package that was run against NDSU is the red zone? It was successful against NDSU.

I like Counts also. His third and goal crowd surf vs. NDSU showed great football savvy by not reaching the ball out, and that jump cut he made on fourth and goal to hit the crease was top shelf.

It's easy to slam the OL when you can't run the ball. There is more to a successful running game than the OL. How much priority do you think this OC puts on the running game in practice? Similarly, I wonder how much priority the HC puts on special teams.

There's quantity and then there's quality. Do any of these resemble Reynolds, Hilliard, Humphery or for that matter, Canada? None I've seen do.
