Rare Day at Washington Grizzly

Today we witness something that from my quick research has ONLY happened 5 times in the history of Washington Grizzly Stadium a Griz loss by more than 10 points:
2012 NAU 41 Griz 31
2005 Cal Poly 35 Griz 21
2005 EWU 34 Griz 20
1990 Idaho 35 Griz 14
1987 Portland State 20 Griz 3

Hope they can get a handle on the turnovers soon.

NAU radio kept talking about how rare it is for Montana fans to leave early - and how they were leaving the game early in droves today.

Sad day for the players for the fans to turn their backs.

He should have said 10 or more ;)

NAU was told by many on here and CS there was zero chance that NAU would ever beat the Griz by double digits at Wa-Griz

You are correct, as the next post points out.

I actually saw a NAU player point up to the NEZ and laugh as he noticed the so-called Griz fans leaving in droves.
I couldn't believe the amount of people walking out on their team with 7 to 8 minutes left in the game...
Pathetic :finger:

Some of us have long drive homes.
I'm one of them......
Besides..... Because of that I'm not going to leave a game early.... I'm going to see every down..
I just think it's pathetic that with around 5 to 6 minutes left in the 2nd qtr. about half the damn stadium clears out....
Then.... with about 5 or 6 minutes left in the third qtr. those same people start to trickle in and say OMG.... WTF just happened???
Then those same POS fans leave their team with about 5 or 6 minutes to go in the game...
I also don't care to hear about how "they paid for their tix to do what they want BS", or "tailgating is part of the experience"..... I love to tailgate as well, mind you.... I just love the game a little more...
Yet I know...... There are definately the "Proud to leave when the chips are down" fans..... And the "It's cool to slam 3 beers instead of 2 so I can get back to the game" fans...

So ya, I guess I'll never understand those who think it's cool to walk out on their team :(

+1
I couldn't believe it. Atmosphere was poor and fans were pathetic in the 2nd half. No, it didn't cause the loss, but there is a real atmosphere change in the stadium ...it's been happening for a couple of years now. It seems like the announcer always has to get his commercials in...Tight game and we go to the kiss cam...really?
