Ranking?

We need an upset weekend.
Some chances for that -- three games where top-ten teams meet another ranked team:
http://www.egriz.com/grizboard/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=59350
(Two there, and then the one in the Big Sky between #2 MSU and #6 EWU.

Also, there are a couple ranked vs ranked at the lower tier:
#13 Appalachian St (4-2) at #25 Samford (5-1)
#21 Central Arkansas (4-2) at #19 McNeese State (4-1)

There is one somewhat-tougher matchup:
Richmond (4-2) at #12 New Hampshire (4-2)
. Richmond at least has a winning record, but they're on the road.

Unfortunately, the other ranked teams face opponents with losing records. ;)

So it's not bad ... five games where a ranked team has to lose.

Another convincing win by the Griz will be most important.

Yep. A 4-3 Griz team is in over any of the 2nd/3rd place teams from the lesser conferences (OVC, Big South, etc., etc.)

Last week #17 Eastern Kentucky lost to unranked Tennessee State. This week EKU is #23, while TSU is #18. Looks like we need a team to lose multiple weeks in a row to move up, or beat a ranked team. Unfortunately Griz won't play another ranked team until the last week of the season.

All the Griz can do is keep winning and hope for the best. UM is no longer in the rankings, and rightfully so, because they lost. Winning out will solve all problems.

If we finish at 8-3, we are in the playoffs, regardless of these rankings.

8-3 would put us in with an opening round home game, I believe.

Sports Network agrees.

:o No Way!!! that would be sweet!!! I have not been able to get to any games so far this year, but roots has been pretty good. I would love to watch a playoff game in the Zoo. Go Griz!!! :thumb:

I'm assuming sports network has us in at 7-4 in this bracket because they still have the Cats as a #2 seed, and they wouldn't get a seed with a loss to us on Nov 17.

I truly hope we atleast make get home field. I am certain we go 5-0 here on out. I really don't see the sCats keeping this luck going. I think EWU has a much smarter QB then UCDavis. Go Eagles :?
