Rams CB's

Saw this, this morning on Yahoo sports. After the draft, veterans in danger of losing their starting position and/or place on the roster. Last one listed are the Ram's corners. One mentioned is T. Johnson. Should be interesting to see how it plays out.

Funny how they praised Jenoris Jenkins. He did not have a great year and gave up a lot of big plays.

The whole DB backfield didn't play great last year that's why the Rams invested heavily. They are all young players. It'll take time to sort out. Tru will have his opportunity.

Then perhaps some of you guys in the Great Falls/Front area could keep an eye open for the Rams' owner, Kroenke, and put in a good word for Tru. Kroenke bought a nice ranch over there a couple years ago.

Interesting analysis, considering that Les Snead said in his post draft interview that Joyner was drafted specifically to compliment Trumaine Johnson Janoris Jenkins as a safety and corner in the nickel package.

Tru was the highest rated corner on the team last year based off of QBR against each corner. Janoris has the most big play potential, but he gave up a lot of big plays last year, Tru is more solid and reliable. Recall that Tru took over for Finnegan when Finnegan was hurt (moving from nickel corner to starting as an outside corner) and after Finnegan was healthy, he was not able to win his spot back.

Not saying these guys won't push Tru, but as stated up above, Joyner was brought in as a nickel corner and safety, Gaines is a 6th round pick that will add needed depth.

While I really really really like the Rams last 2 drafts the CB they picked up this year was a head scratcher to me. Tru played extremely well last year and if anyone was underwhelming it was Janoris Jenkins. Maybe it is what others are saying, that he was drafted to compliment Tru and JJ. I really hope so because I think Tru was exceptional last year

gah-riz dropping some Rams knowledge like it ain't no thing!

If Tru continues to grow at the pace of last year he'll be just fine. The Rams needed more help at safety this year over corner, but you can't have too much depth with the current passing rules. Fisher seems to have a propensity for athletes that can play multiple positions. The Donald kid out of Pitt should help lift the "D" in turning up the pass rush intensity to a zenith. This should help the back end of the "D" a pile this coming season. Look for more turnovers caused by the Rams "D" even though they are in a "brutal' division. The N.F.C. west survivor should be a fav. for the Super again... :egriz:

The NFC West is wayyyyy too good. The last place finisher in that division would win almost every other Division in the NFL. The Rams are going to be damn good. Fisher has them going the right way.....and they will probably finish last.
