They should play Wags both ways.

DOLA and Swagger, biatch!

The Ol was bad last year, but worse this year. Time for drastic action: do we have any studs on the defensive line we could move to the offensive line?

Are you kidding me? We were second in the league in scoring last year! I don't know how the hell you do that with a bad o-line? The team has a bye week and I'm sure the line will have a coming to Jesus meeting. Besides think of what they were up against...ndsu, wyoming both have very sound defensive lines and then the cheap shot und defense which is no slouch. Now if they struggle with davis then yikes!

Having a WEAK offensive line is the downfall of many a teams. With over 4 minutes left in the 1st half at ND, Montana was at NEGATIVE 20 YARDS Rushing! And improved to NEGATIVE 3 at the half. Cliché but true, games are won and lost in the trenches. Montana is facing more losses with this soft o-line... thank God the Griz have a #1 BSC defense, otherwise they'd go winless in 2015.

Well known programs like (former #2) Oregon and USC have young offensive lines and that has been a problem for them this season as well. USC actually has a way younger OL than Montana, starting 2 true freshman, 2 sophomores and 1 junior...and is also 3-2.

This is the U of Montana, which is known for great OL play, so this years unit is frustrating and disheartening.

Drastic action is needed! I think we need to begin using advanced eugenics. Think of the Tinkles. We have a biology department and a daycare program. We need to get on this. Who is going to ask Dave D. for the first donation?

Henry Ford

Jesus Christ, medium-to-long-range plans do not constitute "drastic" action, soldier! Think bigger! Have you no DOLA, sir?

How about this. If you are averaging 1.5 yards/rush, why in the hell would you rush 34 times?? Maybe identify the fact that the run game isn't working and try something different. Just a thought.

I anticipate they will flourish next year with a different HC, OC and blocking scheme.

Here's Montana's O-line problem in a nuttshell.

Jake Hendrickson, Juco transfer in 2010. Had the Griz picked up a true frosh instead, there would be some much needed size and seniority now.

Joe Dahl, 2010 recruit washed out. Word on egriz was that Dahl didn't like the hazing by upper classmen and was a bad fit for the team. At 6-4, 303 pounds, Dahl Seems to be working out at WSU just fine as a two year starter at left guard.

Samson Kaleikini, 2011 recruit washed out. Some say Kaleikini never got the plays down well enough to start. His coach should shoulder some of the blame there, both for recruiting Sampson and for not making things work out. Say what you want about Kaleikini, there's no way he was a worse option than undersized Theibes or Reese.

Christian Liccardi 2011 recruit washed out. Christian was caught up in the overreactionary polices of 2012 and sent packing for marijuana. Again, his coach has to shoulder some of the blame for recruiting a player that doesn't pan out. Liccardi was 270 coming out of high school in 2011.

John Schmaing 2011, grades. Out of consideration for egrizzers hopeful that Schmaing will return, I'll not say that he washed out. Come on Great Pumpkin! I sure see a pattern emerging with this 2011 recruiting class of olinemen, though.

That's a lot of large upper classmen missing from the roster.
