The fact that it doesn't show "offers" on scout.com or rivals.com means nothing really. It's very common for those pages not to get updated especially after a player decides on a school.

Lobato is a pretty good QB..no doubt about that... maybe his talent will take NCU to the promise land this year...and get them a win over "Colorado Mesa"

I know, I don't care what rivals says. Growler has said he was being pursued by many FCS schools, yet can't name a single one (besides Brown and another ivy). I want to know specifically the "many" schools.

I would be very surprised if he's better than Lobato. Seth is a top 2-3 QB in the conference if he just gets some help with the o-line and running game. Btw, I'll just call Montana, MU if you keep calling us, NCU. How about that?

O.K., dum*ss, i'll try to spell it out for your feeble mind, for the third time now. He was being recruited by Weber State, Cal Poly, Northern Arizona, Northwestern state and North Dakota that I know of. He was also being recruited by New Mexico State. I was told this by a high school coach who coached against him at Queen Creek. It may surprise you that I do have a few connections to Arizona high school football, but I do. If you don't get the fact that schools back off a kid when he makes it very clear that he will walk-on to a PAC 10 school like Stanford, then I offer no help for your sorry arse.

You just jealous that your glorified high school team at Northern Colorado could not sign him. By the way, nice "stadium" you got down there!

So some high school coach told you this?
No doubt, in a bar in West Yellowstone

I think the bigger point is that Lobato would start over the one that can run but cant throw, the converted TE that can throw but cant run and the one that can run some but throws rainbows.

We'll see. You're basing your opinions on having seen none of our QBs, and off of your trollish hatred of the Griz. I imagine you would've said the same thing about random other QBs last year too before JJ started to show what he could do.

Your post made me a bit curious thogh... How does NC's Lobato stack up vs previous Griz QBs statistically? Lets see:

2011 Lobato - 199 - 365 (54.5%) 17td, 10int, 2448 yds, 120 efficiency rating.

2010 Roper - 171-278 (61.5%) 19td, 11int, 1885 yds, 133.1 efficiency rating.
2009 Selle - 224-356 (62.9%) 28td, 6int, 3043 yds, 157.3 efficiency rating.
2009 Roper - 78-134 (58.2%) 8td, 3int, 951 yds, 133.0 efficiency rating.

and so on...

In fact the only one that seems comparable to Lobato in recent times is Swogger, who completed 54.% of his passes, but still had a higher efficiency rating than Lobato.

So... I think I'll take what we have at QB, and our history of having and developing good QBs over UnCo's current QB.

I do wish them luck though against Colorado Mesa.. That should be a good test for them, and hopefully it won't end up like Lindenwood last year.

Lobotmy is nothing more than a good athlete masquerading as a college QB, much like our own Kemp.

Honest question, what makes Lobato a bad QB? As I mentioned I believe if he even as much as a decent line in front and a decent running game, he would be top 2-3 QB's in conference.

Keep the faith PG, oh and BTW your defensive secondary isnt very good, just your QB's make them look good

Every year it's the same thing from you :)

Griz are overrated, they are going to have a down year.. blah blah blah blah... You know, if you weren't saying that I would actually be worried... you saying it just shows us how scared you are of the Griz still :)

It wont be too long before McGhee gets to see how good our defensive secondary is this year. Think he'll manage to complete 50% of his passes this year against us unlike last year?

Says the fan of the team that has huge offensive line issues, a potential worry at defensive tackle, and a little long snapping problem.

Just saw that U.S. New & world Report ranks the MSU engineering school as #144 in the nation..... behind such prestigious institutions as the U. of Akron, Baldwin-Wallace, U. of Dayton, U. of Maine, etc. MSU, a stellar institution of higher learning. #144, that's a gross last time I checked.. And, we all know how gross MSU is.

I'm a UM grad and rabid Griz fan but, like a lot of critics, don't put a lot of stock in the US News ratings for various reasons. One of the things that most people don't realize is that MSU's engineering school students have the highest rate of passage for those taking the national engineering test for the first time. That includes the Ivy League schools, everyone. So anyone who graduates from the MSU school is well prepared, and it doesn't cost them nearly as much as it does as most schools.

I never said they were overrated, I think Phil Steel has them at #20, that sounds about like the correct rating to me. :thumb:

unless Adam "Hang Time" Brzeczek starts, then it might go lower

But he has managed a total of 10 points in his last 6 quarters against the Griz. Pretty impressive.

As it relates to the UNC QB, in how many wins has he been the difference?

I'd like to see proof of that stat on Montana State being #1 in the Nation for passing "the national engineering test" for the first time. I've had Bobcat students tell me they are a top 10 engineering school in the country (I've even heard some say top 5). I always challenge them to find one set of rankings that has them in the top 50, I should probably say top 100 to make it more manageable.

Seriously please post the stat for MSU leading the Nation in passing those engineering exams, until then I can't believe you.

no chance as he won't even make it to that game. i just heard from a kid studying sports medicine that just got off the madison with an assistant coach who said we could take it to the bank.....DM won't be starting come cat griz.

lemmings.

:coffee:

I am tired of all the bickering and of the cats denarium this and denarium that. I just saw another ad with him standing on the goal post admiring the litter box. I thought for second Rash had Denarium in training to standing the goal posts so there kicker would know where to kick and not lob another clinker off of it like last year's kicker did. Fact is Denerium has coughed up and chocked on a hairball every time he has played the Griz. It'll happen again this November.

As I posted in another thread, the highly esteemed engineering program at MSU is ranked by U.S. News & World Report as being #144 in the national, right ahead of Lucille's School of Dance.
