Question in regards to Kennedy?

Correct me if I am wrong because I have not taken the time to research this.

When Hogan hired Kennedy, wasn't he still being paid by DePaul and that in his contract with DePaul if he were to take another head coach then the amount owed him would be deducted by the amount being paid by the new school?

Does anyone know if that assessment is correct?

He resigned at DePaul (under pressure) before he took the job here. I haven't heard anything about DePaul still paying him.

Kennedy resigned under presure, and I believe was still owed money on his contract. From what I remember Kennedy will/would be payed for three years after he resigned and that the amount he would recieve would be reduced if he took another job. The reason I remember this was that a few depaul folks were talking on their board about Depaul subsidising the University of Montana's new basketball coach.

I thought his buyout paid him for only one year, but don't know that for sure.
