Quest for the best

Ronan's stadium with the Mission Mtns. in the background and the sprint turf is better then Baker's stadium. Ronan has also hosted the Griz spring game in the past.

I think Ronans field is nice but the stadium is pathetic..just metal bleachers with a highway running buy it..haha but yes the mountains are beautiful in the back drop.

Nice Class A level stadium, but it isn't close to as nice as Butte or CMR. And the view is kind of lacking in the background, so even as nice as it is, I would still rather watch a class A game in Polson or class B Big Fork or Ronan. Really great atmosphere with lake and/or mountains in background.

Don't let the background of trees fool you... there's a great view of the badlands sitting right behind them.

Indeed Makoshika State Park is right behind, this photo doesn't do its justice...and man you know THE DIVE toooo well...you cant beat the Beer Jug...hahaha

lol love THE DIVE! My mother is from Glendive and I have some family there. My grandfather owns Kron Construction on the west end.

Nice, I am also from THE DIVE, don't live there anymore, but cant wait to see that field, also the scoreboard has a giant video board in the middle for instant replays from cameras that are placed around the field. And you can very easily see the badlands behind the tress in person, don't need to tell you this tho.

And yes the money is donated from prosperity from oil field industry. Local farmer opened a toxic waste disposal facility on his property, closest one to the Bakken as ND has none of this type. Multi million dollar project.

I am a Missoula guy, and there are some nice high school fields in the state (not stadiums, fields).

But Butte wins.

Hands down. End of story. Game over.

When you add in Naranche's history (and the 26 Butte High state titles and the 7 Butte Central state titles, not to mention the many large crowds it's drawn over the years [especially for the Butte/Butte Central game--RIP]), and its mystique (at least in the old days, when out-of-town teams dreaded playing on its wood chip, gravel, packed dirt, and god-only-knows-what-else surface), and it's pretty hard to beat.
