Personally, I think that Fred is right here. The issue is jurisdiction, and I believe this will end up going to the supreme court because it is a State versus Federal issue. Notice that Montana has been taking it on the chin recently at the Supreme Court. I would guess that the state is going to use this to hit back at the "federalies".
 
This mess could get a whole lot worse, I imagine the NCAA is watching things very closely. I seem to recall Boise St getting hit with violations for a kid that spent the night in a guest room rather than paying his for his own motel room. Can you imagine what they think of a player getting some "free" legal help. Damage control may just be to cut and move on.
 
Actually I can't even seen the pictures. My shitty cell phone doesn't like to load them. I just figure they are something stupid. Anyone can upload a pic on a site. It's not funny. It's not unique. It's quite Brock Landers actually.

I have an extremely high tolerance for message board hyperbole, but I do believe you have finally exceeded that tolerance. Please, please stop posting until you get your lobotomy done. If you have a kid, I would consider putting him up for adoption.

If anyone cares what I think about the situation, I think Rosenbach has already altered the offense to fit into Smithwick-Hanns skill set and if JJ is not around, he will be our quarterback and he will surprise all of you.
 
Long time listener, first time poster. I have read Tokyo; I have read Playerrep; I have read Growler; and, I can actually take all of that. But, here comes JCU and I have a question. Is this a person with an impressive grasp of satire or the greatest stoned slacker to ever grace this esteemed forum? Let's examine the facts, to wit:

1. "This case would be easily dismissed in the rights hands." Are you capable of understanding that JJ has not been charged criminally and the UM administrative proceeding is a kangaroo court? Paoli attempted to get an injunction in federal court and the judge correctly held that JJ could not meet the incredibly high standard of stopping an administrative proceeding prior to its conclusion. What should have been done differently by Paoli?

2. "Who thinks of embarassment while they are being raped?" What makes you think you or anyone else on this forum that is not a rape victim would have any idea of what someone thinks or does when they are being raped? Do you think at all before you type?

3. That JJ raped someone is "clearly being implied." Do you really lack the reading comprehension to understand that everyone took great pains to write just the opposite? You are the only one arrogant enough to pretend to have any idea what happend.

4. "Please tell me how I'm the idiot." See above and realize that on a board where no one can agree about anything 100% of the posters who are not you agree that you are an idiot.

As a UM grad, I am embarassed by a whole lot of what has gone on. However, nothing can be more embarassing than the knowledge that I am associated with you in any way. Please take grizatwork's advice and never, ever, post again. I am sure that will not happen as I get the sense that you are a real "last word" kind of guy.

I wouldn't say someone being payed a crap ton and doesn't provide any justice for his client is a good lawyer. He sounds like a settler to me and not really wanting to fight as much as possible. Many guilty people are found innocent, you know why? Because lack of evidence and a good lawyer. Know what JJ has? Lack of evidence and a bad lawyer. I don't care if I know him or not. Because you know someone doesn't make them a good lawyer. Get real.
