But this thread is about a specific case. It's probably a stretch to think that the assailant was threatening the alleged victim into keeping quiet. He let her use her cell phone to send text messages as she was giving him a ride home.

But I agree that it's probably normal for acquaintance-rape victims to not immediately contact law enforcement after the attack.

I agree with that. But I don't agree that it's very common for rape victims not to fight of their attacker or call for help.

Based on what? Do you have years of experience dealing with rape victims? Please, leave it at 'I have a hard time believing that, but I guess you are right' and stick to talking about football.

I believe he said that his mother has years of experience dealing with rape victims.

I believe that is ilovethecats who has a mother that deals with this.

What starting QB needs to rape his x? Plus yeah don't you think she would of yelled stop or screamed? Or called the cops right away and he would of been arrested that night? Why wouldn't UM take in JJ's evidence/character witnesses? If someone was raped in a place with other people there I'm sure that person who was informed would of atleast called the cops. Why wouldn't she? Or helped in any sort of way. Sounds like a complete bullshit story out of jealousy. She may have thought she was raped after it was done and she wanted to be in a relationship again, but he didn't. Jealous xs will do a lot of dumb shit.

There is far more to this story than what was in the article, as usual. Pay special attention to the portion where the judge comments on the proceeding. Paoli was the one who requested a dismissal. The legal portion of this is far from over kids.

There is far more to this story. Everyone should skip the Missoulian article and plow through the documents at least the first 80 pages. The way the University of Montana handled this case is disgraceful. I hope the Missoulian is thorough enough in its reporting to unpack this issue. The article it published today doesn't even scratch the surface.

ha. never chose to do it intentionally. but i think it stemmed from college and beyond when I went back to take more classes. i had to write so many papers that had to be so formal so i think when i was introduced to the life of a message board, i swore away with most puntuation and capitalization. when i went back it was online classes so almost every interaction and assignment was written. i was so annoyed with it that again i decided to take shortcuts on the boards!

i do. and in that world i understand that guys rape girls. even football players have raped girls. and i know that not all rape victims scream or run to the cops. and i know that some girls cry rape when they weren't in fact raped. that's why it would be silly to make claims that sh'e just a jealous ex making up a story.......when none of us have any idea. :idea:

Im not a fan of Fred Van Valkenburg but i support him for standing his ground against the Federal Gov't. The Federal Gov't is slowly taking away our state rights. Telling us what we can and cant do.. Eff that!
