:o :o Sorry I edited this post to add wimpy thing. 03/12/05 :o :o
:o :o I have been wrong before but I get the impression from puzzledinmt posts that there may be some unhappiness seeing Montana Mens Basketball have some success. It might be a good idea to respond to the puzzle on this thread. It is too distracting to try to reason with the negative on all the threads. You may want to ignore the puzzle or respond here only or maybe you could go to the smack board. Puzzle is not doing smack but is doing depression.

I would like to enjoy the moment. Without distraction. No basketball fan is going to be happy if they judge their season on success in the NCAA. We all know that the best basketball seasons end with a loss. If you enjoy the depression you are welcome to respond all over the place and encourage it. I prefer to enjoy the moment. ESPN RADIO INTERVIEWED DAVIS AND KRYSTKOWIAK, ESPN RADIO CARRIED MICK HOLIENS CALL 5 times, SELECTION SUNDAY, maybe trip to tournament game

I honestly would love to see the Basketball program at the University of Montana catch up with the Football program, but I just don't see it happening now or in the future!

Perhaps someday that will change. What bothers me the most is the relative lack of support by the students and community towards Montana Basketball. The support the men's program gets is not much more than they deserve.

The Women's team easily outdistances the men and they are truly worth watching on TV oir in person.

What really bothers me is seeing the pitiful crowds that attend UM Games. I've seen much larger High School crowds on average.

:o :o Pitful was correct for the play off game. Although disappointing the rest of the season was understandable considering the miserable performance on TV in Bozeman and the preceeding years events. Montana and Montana State will most likely be picked in the preseason media and preseason coaches poll next fall which should jump start the attendance. Protecting the home court early will be important and maybe some adjustment to having to mortgage your life to be able to purchase tickets for the ordinary human fan or at least provide a real student section. :o :o

Puzzled...you are a moron. Your argument that the basketball team is so far behind with the football team is absolutely ridiculous. Let's say the Griz football team was 1-A and set up in a playoff bracket similar to the NCAA tournament. I would guess we would probably be no better than a 15 or 16 seed in a football tournament also. Now how do you think we would do against let's say USC, Oklahoma, Miami, Florida State, etc??? I'm sure with your warped sense of reality you could try and convince me we could easily beat those schools. In my opinion, half the team would probably leave the field on a strecher. Part of the reason for the lack of men's basketball support is due to haters like you. When is the last time the football team had the opportunity to play Michigan State, Stanford, UNLV, Auburn, Gonzaga, Southern Illinois, Missouri, etc. caliber type teams in the past few years. Oh that's right, their preseason games are against the likes of Northern Colorado and University of South Dakota. I cheer for the football team as loud as the next guy, and they do an amazing job within their level. But you can't compare the 2 because they play at totally different levels. If there was a 1-AA basketball league the Griz would compete for National Championships in it as well. So don't give me this crap about the team not deserving support, in my opinion they deserve more.

MinnesotaGriz, you are a reactionary pathetic power poster! The only entities I hate on this board are people like you. Sorry, you may classify me as a moron, but you are best classified as an Idiot. The basketball team is not even in the same league as the football team, at least for now!
I hate nobody, but idiots like you, mush mouth, you vacuous, toffee-nosed, malodorous pervert!"

I rest my case....you just demonstated why I correctly labeled you as a "moron". Your posts have become so ridiculous they don't even warrant a response anymore. Oh by the way, you never did answer my question...how would football do against USC in the first round? I can't wait to hear that explaination, ha ha ha ha
