Im assuming everybody saw the score of the psu/ncu game, psu gave them a beat down! Being a Griz fan I am trying to be optimistic, we beat PSU by almost 40 but lost to NCU, so basically what it tells me is that anybody can win on any night and there is no real clear cut favorite.

Any other thoughts on this?????

you are right, not even close to a favorite in 2010.

The last place team in the standings is very cable. Right now its ISU at 1-5. They lost a game by 1 pt, 2 by 2 pts one of which against my team last night in triple OT. With Sac improved I wonder if 12-4 or 11-5 could be first place in the end.

Another factor to consider is all these back to back night games. We will see teams lose that probably shouldn't with this crazy schedule.

ISU is in a big hole but I think they can still make the conf tourney if they stop losing the close ones.

Who is this "NCU" of which you speak? There's no such animal in our league. Any Northern Colorado fan (and they're VERY vocal about this) will tell you that their acronym is "UNC."

I watched the game and it just shows what many of us have said all along, there are no gimmes in the BSC this year. The conference is pretty strong in my opinion, as the conference has done well playing up.

I agree, well relatively speaking.

The BSC is currently the 17th rated conference in the RPI out of 34 conferences. UNC and WSU are the only 2 Top 100 teams and 6 in the Top 200.

Those numbers will slip some as we get further into conference play.

The BSC is one of only a handful in which every single team has at least 1 win and 1 loss within the conference.
