Interesting threads "unravelling" here regarding the dismissal of the AD and the head football coach. One can only shake one's head.

I was in state when the University announced its own investigation, headed by a former Montana State Supreme Court Justice, into alleged sexual assaults committed by students, and of course student-athletes. I thought it a bit odd (even after the fall-out from Penn State's issues) that the University would instigate its own internal investigations and not turn such matters immediately over to competent LE authorities. WHAT!?!

I am further intrigued by the apparent attitude held by the UofM as "being above all of this," an attitude held at the highest level of University leadership. Its almost as though the University leadership thinks the people of "the Griz Nation" are not sophisticated enough to "understand"; or are too unrefined to want to do the "right thing."

"Don't worry country people, leave this to the adults." Hubris would not be adequate to describe.

Its almost as though the University leadership couldn't trust turning the resolution of serious allegations, such as rape and sexual assault, to local LE. Thus not getting enough "Brand Protection." More like not enough "posterior protection." A very narrow view to be taken by those reliant on the State of Montana and its population to pay them.

Don't just stop now. Where are the Regents?

There needs to a house cleaning from the top down.
