Thanks for the great memories this year to the whole team, it was such a fun run over the course of the conference play especially. Seeing Dahlberg packed was an amazing thing and there'll be a lot of fun things to reflect back upon from this season.

Good luck to Derek Selvig, Art Steward, Jordan Wood, and Shawn Stockton - thank you for being a GRIZ!

This loss stings but Bucky was a better team all around, props to them on the win and good luck the rest of the way for them.

Next year... Griz gotta be the favorite, I think Cherry and Jamar come back focused, and if Reader/Weisner can get it rolling this group will be incredibly tough to beat. What I do really hope for is that this season becomes so much more than just a good run and a conference title but the start of something bigger for Griz hoops, and a return to glory, with even more dominant teams in the future.

Great season guys, GO GRIZ!

Despite the loss in the tourney you guys still had one hell of a great season and should be proud.

Congrats on the Season Griz.

Great year and lots to build on for the next few years. My daughter was happy too, they got to watch the game in school today. Helps to have faculty who's son plays.

Great post, Brint!

I wasn't particularly proud of the way the GRIZ played today. But it was a GREAT season. And as Mick said as the team was walking off the floor, "Today was disappointing. But the team picked their heads up on the way off the court, acknowledged the band, acknowledged the crowd, and left this court with a ton of class".

Win or lose, we ARE MONTANA!

The Selvigs drove all night to get the game today. I sat right next to them. Great people
Great season, and the GRIZ exceeded expectations, I had for them. I was guessing 11-5 conference season, and 2nd place to Weber State. Add in losing Reader for most the year, and little paint presence, I would have never thought a season like we had was possible. :thumb:

Brint, I knew as soon as I saw the topic of the post it was you, as painful as it is right now, spot on call. I would hope this year's performance helps with the recruiting. The Griz do return studs next year. I can't help but think this program is on the way up and this year's recruiting will validate that.

I agree. Art Steward finished out his career in stellar fashion. All in all, the thing that stands out most about this team is that the players truly liked and respected one another. The seniors deserve credit for their leadership.

While our conference was not very strong top to bottom this season, you can't blame the Griz for having success in a weak conference. But this game did expose our weaknesses, and gave us some things to improve upon.

The best is yet to come I believe.

they did what they were asked to do...Great year and I hope this is the return of something special in Missoula.

MUST get a better non conference schedule next year. Play em all on the road of that's what you have to do...

Thanks players, coaches, families and everyone else. Great season and a very fun team to follow and watch grow! Thinking after the UGF game and the questions, wow, what a great turn around. Be Proud and please, please, find a way to keep coach Tinkle. GO GRIZ!

Bitter about the grand?

Wisconsin shot lights out. We played well in the first half. With 3 minutes left in the half we were down by 5 even though they made everything. They continued to shoot throughout the game. We didn't make shots and then it eventually snowballed. I feel bad for the griz because the score doesn't reflect how good they are. Selvig played very well, but Cherry was not himself. It was really a shame.

I'll simply say this:

It's been many, MANY years since I've had this much fun during a basketball season. Great group of guys and a TON of fun to watch and root for.

I can't wait for next year. :thumb:

Oomph. That was like punch to the stomach. Despite the dissapointing loss today, this team exceeded my expectations...and my expectations were pretty high this year. Great season guys. It was so much fun watch a team gel they way this one did. They lost today to an excellent team in the Badgers. I too, couldnt be more proud of this team.

Tinkle as a coach now has 3 straight 20 win seasons and is only 6 points away (NoCo last year) from 3 consecutive trips to the NCAA's. Can we get this guy a raise???

I love my Grizzlies, and I'm already looking forward to next November!

Despite the performance overall, you have to be proud of the team. I was really happy for Art. He came out and left it all out there. He had a pretty good game. Next year is looking good already.
