Pretty Good Weekend At Sac State

That is all well and good, but let's be real. If a CA school cannot recruit better tennis players that schools that have 4 different seasons and only a few months when you can actually play outdoors, then something is wrong. When Sac becomes a factor in the major sports, then people will take notice, but Sac will have it's eye on a different conference by the, if it ever happens.

GB1, I think Jenkins may have taken a step in the right direction.

Check out the link to our only signing so far this offseason. He's an athletic 6-8 240lb. PF. Make sure to click the link at the top of the release to see a youtube video of him dunking on like 3 guys.

I was not impressed by Jenkins tendency to overcoach his players. He subs way too much, and the lack of chemistry is obvious to even a casual observer. Let me know when he actually finishes in the top 3 of the BSC. I think he is close to being fired, better than Abatemarco, but that isn't saying shit. :twocents:

GB,

Perhaps he subs too much. And he's definitely, as you said, better than that Knight-Hayes wanna-be. But I believe that some coaches have been slammed for the opposite extreme: failing to sub past the top seven, leaving 8-12 undeveloped, causing a problem come the end of the season when the first two lines start taking injuries and fatigue issues. This may not be an issue here, but it may be something to consider.

Except we are talking about Jenkins and sac, not some coaches. I talked to some Sac Athletic people and they were not exactly giving Jeromes two thumbs up if you know what I mean. Watch the players when they make a mistake, they immediately look at the bench to see if they are getting benched, that is no way to instill confidence in players in my opinion.
