What are your thoughts on this? Should the kid have had the chance for a perfect 21 strike out game or was letting the senior play the right move?

It was the last game of the regular season for Western Christian School (Upland, Calif.), and pitcher Ryan Olson was having what one might call a dominating performance. Not only was he working on a perfect game, but he had struck out all 20 batters he faced. But with two out in the seventh (high school games go seven innings), Olson was denied a shot at strikeout No. 21 — or a Double Secret Perfect Game, as Dean Wormer might call it.

Holy $hit! The other kid, as a senior, should either have started the game, or gone in at another position.

Putting him in with one out left is a bit of a slap in the face anyway.

I am all for a SR playing, but there are 8 other positions to put him at. I don't care the level, I would never pull a pitcher after going that far. He earned the right to achieve history. In this case, I would understand if the player, or parents were upset.

Even if the Sr was a weak defender, the chances were almost "0" of anyone hitting the ball anyway. The opposition has not done it all game. Dumb coach anyway.
