Just listening to UCLA coach Ben Howland speak about how they never have any contact the day before a game and never go more than 45 minutes that day. One of my best friends won two national championships and a third at the NAIA level. He took it a step further and NEVER practiced the day before a game. His teams always seemed to have more energy than their opponents. I bring this up because the griz men never seemed to have any bounce in their step and I believe they left too much in the gym in the days before their games trying to prove their "toughness".
