Shaun Rainey posted the precise, shortened clip (with better audio) of coach DeCuire's response.

Oh, boo hoo. The rest of the conference is shedding tears for the poor little grizzies. He whines enough on the court, doesn't need to carry it over to the pressers.

DeCuire is not a whiner.

I actually laughed out loud when I read this. I don't blame you for being a homer but come on bro, be real. Legans is one of the worst, so much more so than Decuire!

No, I'd say the rest of the conference is shedding tears about this:

 Montana 13-2 0.867
 Northern Colorado 11-4 0.733
 Weber State 10-6 0.625
 Montana State 9-7 0.563
 E Washington 9-7 0.563
 Southern Utah 9-8 0.529
 Portland State 8-8 0.500
 Northern Arizona 7-10 0.412
 Sacramento State 6-10 0.375
 Idaho State 5-11 0.313
 Idaho 1-15 0.063

I though Decuire's comments were funny (as a Griz fan) like most people did, but I don't think that impressed future employers. The visiting coaches have "out-obscenity-ed" him this year for the first time in his career for sure. But I think he went a little overboard ripping the league and retreated back to his immature/bitter attitude of earlier years in the moment. What good is it gonna do to rip the league at this point? I think Travis "set-up the loss" with these comments about the difficult schedule and gave his team an excuse for playing terrible (at times) vs. No Colo.

DeCuire didn't "rip" the league in any respect. DeCuire was actually very funny. I enjoyed what he said. Can't imagine the league would be irritated at all. They probably thought he was funny too. DeCuire isn't immature, nor is he bitter, nor has he ever been bitter. As usual, I continue to wonder what planet you come from.

To anyone who watched the game and understands the game, it was absolutely clear that the Griz suffered from being a bit tired (from the Cat game) and probably a bit emotionally drained from the Cat game. The UNC coach told his team prior to the game that the Griz would be in that situation. DeCuire wasn't giving his team an excuse for playing terrible, nor did they play terrible.

The BSC officials should be called out. I felt that DeCuire had a right to comment on the unorganized BSC schedule, but I was disappointed that they did not defend homecourt and beat UNC. They should have been capable of rest on saturday night and sunday, and be ready to play at a high level Monday.

Not “terrible”, but certainly a couple notches below the level they’d played the previous 10 games..

I thought Decuire was hilarious, but on the other hand, if the team cannot handle a one day turnaround, how are they going to put in consecutive big games during tournament, after a 4 game inside 8 days stretch.

Gonna have to dig deep.

Capable, yes.
Willing?
Did they rest?
I ask, because during my on and off watching of the game, I saw Ogine drive the lane, and fall down, and stay down, as if to say, "Blew that one." Turnover. Don't recall if it resulted in a score. Makes me think that in their off time, they revert to being college students, not basketball players. Go figure. Shouldn't have to babysit players, esp. seniors.

In the tournament, teams will have the same turnaround times.

True, but I was addressing "terrible". They made more mistakes than usuaal. And, as you said, their game was down a couple notches.
