Possible Tourney Seeds (Fingers Crossed)

On the other hand, the griz would be one of the best 15 seeds ever and any 2 seed would be scared as fuck to play them.

If that bracketeering guy from ESPN is right about the sky champ playing Gonzaga in SLC, then I think we should ALL be praying for that matchup. You talk about NAU being a paper tiger! The bulldogs are probably the most beatable high seed in this year's tourney.

Plus I could drive to the game!

Mung, I couldnt of said it better myself!

I would love to beat Gonzaga! Or even play them or that matter, It would be a good game, but I think AM would be too much for this Grizzly team. Maybe a couple years down the line but not this year IMO. If we get a 12-13-14 seed, I think we have a great chance of upset of the year but not Gonzaga. The whole world would be rooting against us, just like Wyoming two years ago (check me on that one)

Gonzaga has made so many early exits amidst all of their hype that people have come to expect them to play down to their competition, regardless of how meek that competition may be.

Recall that Idaho, of all teams, played a tight game with the zags. EWU almost beat them (Right now I'm imagining Stuckey and Morrison on the same team and getting a hardon). PSU gave them a good scare, but didn't finish.

The griz have handled all of these teams (UI by extension of our wins over the cats) and they've not been overwhelmed by all-stars like Stuckey, Green, Millien (OK maybe once), or Hernandez to a point that they blew them out of contention.

I maintain my hope for a Gonzaga matchup. Extremely athletic teams like UW last year seem to scare the griz into poor play. The zags aren't a team that relies on athletic razzle-dazzle.

Gonzaga has been to the Dance 8 times and has 10-8 record. As you know every team but one finishes the NCAA with a loss. There are not that many teams with great records in this tournament as a result. For example NC State has won it twice, yet they are only 31-20 overall.

One piece of trivia, Idaho State has won more games than any BSC team in the NCAA's, having been there 11 times with a record of 8-13.

By the way, collegerpi.com has the Lady Griz seeded 13th playing BYU in Denver.

So, NAU is only selected for men's on collegerpi.com.

I would LOVE that seed and opponent.

If the Griz win out...a big "if" yes, but IF they do, we will get a 13 or 14 seed. Count on it.

I'd love to see that, especially because it would, on paper, give UM a better chance at a win as opposed to losing the first round and going home.. But I'm a pessimist. I just feel like when the do the brackets, the Powers That Be will see Montana and go: "What state is Montana in?" and then stick UM with a 15 or 16 just because. I have no other rationale. I know the 2003 BSC #12 seed happened, but it's the exception, not the rule. I hope I'm wrong... Seems to me there are some more wins to be earned before we worry about it, though...

I know some Indian words also. You know Kimosabe means ass hole. Another is vegitarian which means poor hunter. :beer2:

Pburg,

Thanks, since I was being a smartass I was hoping that is what it meant. I always thought it was son of a bitch, my bad :thumb:

If UM gets in they have to be a 15 seed in my mind. There are so many teams out there that are on the bubble right now and that can make the Big Dance. the Missouri Valley could have three teams in, the Big Ten could have six or possibly seven teams in, hell even Stanford and Arizona have a chance. If a ton of these teams lose out maybe we could get a 14 seed.
