Stitt is the new coach. I am annoyed by the reasons for the delay in the announcement, but it is done.

Do you know the reasons for the delay?

I do. Nothing that I believe will kill the deal. This just got out a little quicker then they expected, due to some loose lips, and they don't have the ink dried.

You may be correct as I don't have any information. Yet, if it were true it is very odd Haslam wouldn't have just denied a deal had been reached rather than going to the point of saying "no offer has even been made." The extent of that denial is just bizarre if they just wished to sit on it a little bit longer. This makes me doubt the eGriz rumor mill that Stitts is a done deal.

Meanwhile, Raw Ass is out there picking up all the in-state recruits. Bobcat Beat on FB is posting about 2-3 a week.

I'm not at all worried about if Ash picks up more State players. I just want the best players we can get, even if that means they're from out of state. As soon as anyone puts on a jersey with "MONTANA" on it, they're a Montanan.

Apparently you don't know the entire story. He did not "beat his wife". His behavior was unacceptable though, and the result of an escalation of a family quarrel during which he put her in a head lock, perhaps because she was getting aggressive with him. As I said not excusable, but lets not dramatize what happened.

If it was based 100% on coaching and building a program, Wristen would be the obvious choice as he has built Pueblo from the ground up. His offenses are every bit as good and exciting as Stitts but there is an exception. His defenses are better, and he contained and beat Stiits team thus year. He recruits well, and wins much more often. He is loved in Pueblo despite the incident from 15 years ago. Everyone makes mistakes, and more often than not we as a society cannot give 2nd chances, or let go. Good thing our forefathers were not hampered by that ideology.

Brant does an excellent job keeping people informed, much better than the university does so lay off the best poster on the board. You need to be more like PR and be positive and put some facts behind your posts instead of always picking on people like a big bully.

Here's a reason...Stitt reportedly makes $205,503, plus 5% of ticket sales with a minimum 5% salary bump annually. And that adds up to more than UM has been paying less whatever can be picked up from radio/ tv.

That's true. I don't think his salary is that much, but it is pretty high, especially for an RMAC coach. I know when he interviewed 2 separate times for the UNC vacancy his salary was just one of the stumbling blocks of why he is not the Bears HC.

Can you post a link to this? I goggled it, and I did find a link that if you just read that goggle summary, would appear that those are Stitt's salary figures. However, if you click on the link, those were Craig Bohl's salary figures, basically exactly.
