MSU is rebuilding and has played fairly well, although they are now going to have to hit the road. They have played at home for some key games. Murray can’t pass. It is that simple. I hope Choater stays stubborn and does not put Rovig in. Game planning for D coordinators playing MSU is fairly straight forward.

No way they win with Murray not passing well and just running!
We will see ! Nobody thought they would beat you last year. They did!

They did, but there are a lot of games left in the season. Beating the Cats is great, but playoffs is what really matters. Jensen is a better QB and this years Griz squad is better offensively. Murray won't be able to get away with passing 2 times and win if he is still the QB by the end of the season.

Cats are playing much more physical than the Griz. This stuff about Murray can't pass is false. Yes, the PSU QB had good yardage passing. Those were mostly short passes. He was only 5-18 on third down. The Cat defense played good despite have key players out with injuries. Like the young kids that are stepping up.

What? All Games
PASS EFFICIENCY G Comp Att Int Pct. Yards TD Effic
10. Montana State 5 54 106 4 50.9 671 9 124.6

Conf. only
13. Montana State 3 26 52 2 50.0 332 6.4 5 110.7

Has there ever been a year this collie fvcker didn't use the injury excuse?

Have to agree with 33. Scats are playing a more physical game than our Griz are.

Murry will connect on an open pass occasionally but what was impressive was when he ran the option. PSU couldn't stop it. Wonder of Choke will try to develop that more ?

The PS QB threw 52 passes but was only 5 for 18 on third down. Cats ran for 403 yds. Didn’t want to pass in that wind. Second half when wind got worse Cats changed game plan and stayed with run. Was successful.

PSU QB threw for 317. Murray threw for 9. You tried to blame the wind. Had nothing to do with the wind. He is not that improved in the pass game. Not as much as all you would hope and tried to say.

Cats were playing with a lead most of the game, PSU was playing catch up, so of course the play calling is going to be different. If you have the lead and a 25 mph wind, why throw if you don't have to. Several of his passes were throwaway plays deep downfield to keep the safeties honest and the run game churning. I'm not saying Murray is a great pocket passer but he has certainly improved from last year.

Word out if state Ag is they’ve accepted an offer by the Big Ass Solutions group to install a couple of their products adjacent to the shit pond so that Murray can acclimate to passing during high tide & kite flying weather.

C’mon Man. Like it’s never windy in the Gallatin?

I was at a little guy football game on Saturday and the opposing team kicked off twice--once to start each half. After confirming Micky-D was not guest coaching, I started yelling that they were making a mistake, but the ref assured me their coach preferred "the wind" instead of the ball. I said, "does he realize there are only 30 plays per half?" Ref just shrugged.
Just like the cat people, the opposing team did take a few shots that, although they had no intention of completing, kept the D honest. Great strategy

The Griz are playing like an Ash coached team. Not impressive at all.

Been saying this all year. Glad somebody else sees it. Not happy its a kitty fan....but I've been saying it all year. We need more physicality, ASAP.
