Portland State has a shot at an upset

They'll have a chance if they hire Gene Hackman as coach, go out and measure the height of the baskets before the game then ind a drunken assistant who spews pure gold nuggets like "Don't get caught watching the paint dry..."

This years Portland State team is not even a resonable facsimile of last years team. I don't see Xavier having many problems beating the Viks.

It's hard to compare the two. Last year we had depth in the post, and not so much at the point. Last year we were tougher, this year more of a skill team. I think in tourney time, the question is, what team has a higher ceiling. From the lower / mid conferences, it's about getting hot at the right time to win. Honestly, I think I'd take this years team on their best day as opposed to last years team on their best day. I'm not saying it's a better squad, but has the ability to do more damage when they are on their game.
Didn't Portland State win the regular season last year? They owned the Big Sky last year-this year was another story. Not sure how you think this years team is better-they have not played well since beating Gonzaga. I will be cheering on the Vikes but my expections are low this year-I thought they might actually do something last year until they drew the 16th seed. This year I expect them to lose.

Swing and a miss on my point.
