Poll Guesses (TSN, Nov 4)

I wasn’t going to do this, but the temptation was too much with 7 ranked teams -- two in the top ten -- going down this weekend. That means there should be quite a bit of movement in the polls, especially in the bottom half.

Guess, team (record) < previous rank >
1. North Dakota State (8-1) < 1 >
2. Montana State (8-1) < 3 >
3. Sam Houston State (7-2) < 4 >
4. Old Dominion (8-1) < 5 >
5. Eastern Washington (7-2) < 7 >
6. Lehigh (9-0) < 8 >
7. Stony Brook (9-1) < 9 >
8. Georgia Southern (7-2) < 2 >
9. James Madison (7-2) <10 >
10. New Hampshire (8-2) < 11 >
11. Northern Arizona (8-1) < 12 >
12. Wofford (7-2) < 6 >
13. Appalachian State (7-3) < 15 >
14. Central Arkansas Bears (8-2) < 13 >
15. Illinois State (8-2) < 17 >
16. Towson (5-4) < 19 >
17. South Dakota State (7-2) < 21 >
18. Richmond (6-3) < 22 >
19. Villanova (6-3) < 23 >
20. Indiana State (7-3) < 14 >
21. Cal Poly (7-2) < 16 >
22. Eastern Kentucky (7-3) < 25 >
23. UT Martin (7-2) < NR >
24. Tennessee State (8-2) < 18 >
25. Bethune-Cookman (7-2) < NR>

NR Albany (7-2) < 20 >
NR Delaware (5-4) < 23 >

My guesses might not have dropped Ga Southern as much, since they lost a close game to a ranked team ... but they were at home. Are Stony Brook and Lehigh better than GaSo? I don’t think so, but they have “better” records (by the numbers) and I think the pollsters will.

Would have liked to reward App State more for beating a ranked team, but those 3 losses stand out too much against the 1- and 2-loss teams ahead of them.

Delaware, ranked 23, was on thin ice anyway with its record, so I think its safe to dropped them from the rankings. Albany, starting at #20, might have survived, but they got absolutely crushed (30 to zip), so they’re gone.

Guessing who would be added was tough, but I went with a couple of 2-loss teams. We’ll see (tomorrow).

I wont be shocked if SHSU jumps the Cats, We had a close win on the road over a pretty good team and they blew out SE Louisiana at home

Edit: Misread your post. I still don't think SHS jumps you, because SE La is a weak (3-6) team.
