Well, the Griz had a great run in the top ten, but the loss – and the total of 3 losses – is likely to get them hammered down quite a bit. And actually, the guessed position seems to put them where they “belong” – among the two- and three-loss teams.

The close loss by EWU, on the road, may not hurt them quite as bad the guesses list shows. However, #7 does put them below the one- and no-loss teams, so it looks okay.

The other changes are pretty much “standard” moves based on winning or losing yesterday.

The approach does lead to a couple of anomalies. First, it would not surprise me to see Eastern Kentucky move up more – their one-loss record looks a bit out of place. Same goes, in reverse, for UNI – but then, it was odd that they should have still been ranked last week when they had a losing record. Oh well.

Montana could not beat any team in the top 20. We should be ranked about 21 -25, if the rankings were based on the real world.
Are you serious?

yeah, i'm not sure they should be ranked that high, either.

I think your projection is pretty accurate. I think the Griz will end up between 14 and 18.

I hate to say it, but I think we will be out of the top 25 at the end of the year. The Griz perform so poorly in the second half of games and they are not improving as the season progresses. we have lost to every decent team we have played. I think a 7-5 record is about as good as it will get.

As much as I wish it were different, I think he is right. The Griz offense has been shaky all year. Now the defense is trending in the same direction. :( Elite is not an adjective that applies to this year's team.

Sounds about right.. just look at the last three games.

Last second field goal to defeat UND.

Davis has the ball with 3:11 left with the opportunity yo tie or go ahead.

Then Cal Poly

I don't particularly disagree with the thought that the Griz should be ranked, more realistically, in the range of 20-25.

My amusement was with the notion that the rankings might be "based on the real world." Now that's comical!
