Hmmm... let me chime in...
A write-up on practice, written by somebody (a football FAN) who is not a coach or scout (a real scout) means nothing to an opposing coach. Coaches dont recruit practice stats, and one FAN's opinion about perceived strengths and weaknesses have zero impact. However, if a coach has a way to watch video (especially practice/scrimmage) he can make his own judgements and can scout accordingly. As much as i loved being able to watch the spring scrimmage in its entirety online because i could not attend, whoever posted it is an absolute idiot! I guarentee you that the SD coaches watched the scrimmage video and evaluated all of the strengths and weaknesses of the players especially the mechanics of the QBs to be able to exploit their weaknesses. I can also guarentee you that the SD coaches never once read or took seriously any written account passed on to them by anyone other than their own scouts/coaching firends/etc. Please do not post any more video. If you are a true Griz fan you do not want to give their opponents ANY tactical advantage...and once again, a FAN's (not a coach/scout) written account has no credibility within the coaching community and will not hurt the Griz at all! In fact, keep the write-ups coming!!! They are thoughtful, insightful, well written and very fun to read!!
P.S. The Griz players were a little shocked when they saw that their spring scrimmage was online. They knew that the SD coaches and players would use it to scout their personnel and schemes (not their tendencies). They each have their own username and password to watch practice/scrimmage/gamefilm online through the football program's PRIVATE video/scouting software programs. It is taken very seriously. They do not want their videos posted publicly!
