A buddy & I were talking about cell phones, etc., seeing players on phones (he was referring to FBS players on TV). So, was wondering how much of that would compromise the integrity of the game. Also, could someone explain how many or which players can have in-helmet communication from team coordinators?

in helmet communication is only an NFL thing

Thanks! Thought so, but we were also wondering about cell phones with players during game time compromising the game in some way.

Is that a rule for all of college football or can the FBS use them?

Our players turn their cell phones in to the coaches before they leave the hotel, prior to the game.

I think that is a coaching decision, I would doubt that any coaches would want players with cell phones on the sidelines. at least any that are dressed for the game
