Kudos, Coach Rosenbach, your play calls were more diverse. Personnel utilization was improved. Predictability was a lot more difficult. Granted, we should have scored more TDs in place of FGs. However, that's more on the players than play calls. Your offense moved the ball more consistent, won the field position battle, and helped the dynamic defense. We know, I've been pretty critical of the play calling all season. Fair is fair, I welcome, giving you credit too.
Taking it further, I previously questioned, using more motion, adjusting Bergen's role, using Akem and Flowers more, etc. All be damn, the offense did those things against the Cats. Flowers in motion kept the Cat defense honest. Hell, Flowers almost broke a few for TDs. Akem, lined up in the slot more often, was nice to see. Granted, we didn't go to him from the slot, but it's set up things in the playoffs. Finally, I posted why not use Bergen 15 yards plus down field to utize potential coverage mismatches, that went to the house on the 2nd play of the game!!!! Also, spreading him out was nice utilization. Even more so, using a 2nd HB with him. Yet again, something we can expand on for the playoffs.
Please, continue to mix up the play calling, and player utilization moving forward. That's putting players in position to succeed!!! Now expand on it. The table has been nicely set!
