Play calling system

I was wondering what type of play/concept calling system Stitt will be using? I'd think that the method for communicating the play quite quickly and simply would be critical in an offense that moves at such a quick pace.

Anyone have any insights?

Stitt will be calling all offensive plays and uses a series of hand signals to get the call in. They are trying to reel off a play in the 15-17 second range......from start of one play to the start of another. That's an incredible pace!

and he will have a couple coaches in the booth helping him break down the defense.

I can see a possible problem with the hand signal system in the "loud and cold" post season..............

Any problems with "hand signals" will be from the North EZ, and won't be directed at the Griz.

Noteworthy that at end of the second clip in the post is the statement that Mines lost to CSU-Pueblo in weather that required a ground game. Perhaps Stitt has learned this from that experience. Ok, so a game or two are lost because of the weather. Maybe no big deal.

Don Read ran a pass happy system in Montana a few years back. I recall that he did alright in the poor weather Missoula often has late in the season. Short high percentage passes are doable in leu of a power run game.

Modern play calling system->Texting or better yet Tweeting then the whole stadium can play along. Of course we better keep the hash-tag a secret...

With all the new wifi stuff, I would not be surprised to see someone invent a new game: "Predict The Play." (Not "Call The Play" :( BTW ) To enliven time-outs, they could post, on the big board, a bunch of potential next plays after the TO: Run right, left, etc; long pass; quick kick [?]; draw; and so on. People log in with id's, and the person(s) who guess the most gets a prize at the end of the game. Be better than watching f*ing commercials during the TO. (Of course, that's why it's not going to happen. :( )
