Most games have a pivotal play. I thought Goodwins pick coming out of halftime was it. PSU had scored before half. We hadn't shown that we could stop their offense. If they had gone down and scored it would have been 'game on', a one possession game. Instead it went the other way to a three possession lead.
We smack talk about the 36-10 victory over the cats in Bozo. Actually it was close until JJ hit the deep ball over Fuller and it changed the game. It was pivotal. Also when Mariani returned the punt against the Cats in the old school uni's I thought it started the landslide. It was pivotal.
A lot of games even eventual blowouts hinge on one or maybe two plays. I thought PSU defense faded and our offense went down the field with total confidence after Goodwin's pick.
