phillips looked like crap running this offense last year

he also didn't look very 'engaged'. as he said in his interview on tv, it took him a year to figure the offense out. i'm not saying hill will win the position next year, or even stay at qb (looks like he'd be a good wr to me), but i just thought i'd remind all the haters about how phillips looked when he played last year.

Phillips also looked terrible in the last spring game. Hill does not see the field well, and when he does see something, he is a little late reacting.

So what does that say about Jensen? Pretty damn impressive.

Jensen is in his 2nd year in the offense, that's what it says...

Caleb is a very athletic young man. Keep in mind "young man", it's going to take him a while to look comfortable. He's probably pressing a little bit right now, trying to justify the coaches faith in him. Give him time, to steal and paraphrase a line from the great Al Pacino - he'll make you proud one day, I promise you.

What we saw from our seats was he never looked off his intended rec. He telegraphed his intention each play to the db's and safeties.

I watched on TV. With each unsuccessful series he looked a little more dazed. By the end of the game he looked like the saddest man in the stadium. With a redshirt freshman in front of him, two talented quarterbacks on redshirt, and a talented true freshman coming in from Cali, I would not be surprised if he were playing a different position or even playing somewhere else next year.

Wow, tough crowd. There's no reason he couldn't contribute in certain situations. He may never start, but that doesn't mean he can't contribute.

Yes as the 3rd string QB. He did not get many live snaps in real game time. Did he learn the system - yep. Will Hill if he sticks around? Sure, but What Jensen has done this year is ridiculous.

No doubt.

Stitt brought in two freshman to play quarterback (Wilson and Dick) also the freshman from Cali. Hill's opportunities to play quarterback here are NONE. If he can find another position to get him on the field, he will stay, but I doubt it.
