Pflugrad's Attorney

If the story in the paper is correct, anyone want to explain what lawsuit they believe Pflu will be undertaking. According to the paper, UM simply chose not to renew his (and O'day) contracts. Unless there is something missing in the story, there is no legal cause of action for refusing to enter into a contract with someone.

The issue will be how much money the U owes Pflu. I believe his contract was structured with a three term with a payoff upon termination that declined through the term.

One of the key points made in Pflu's interview on KPAX today is that he was offered a new three year extension and everyone was working as if it was in place. Clearly his attorney is trying to demonstrate that 'in effect' Pflu had a three year contract, thus Pflu gets a three year payoff.

Wow, who didn't see this one coming right down Main Street? Blew will not win this one, however, but forbid it if he doesn't try because that's the last head coaching money he'll ever see again at this level and higher. How about leaving like a man and admitting you were the head of a dirty program?

I can't imagine uncle milty suing the U. No way. i don't know who the U's defense attorney is, but milt may have conflicted himself out of that role.

You know, this thread is indicative of a lot of the problems we have in this country. The guy screwed up and now he wants to sue his employer. If the U entered into a new contract and a real victim of a player sues the U they loose then too.

For Gods sake no more lawyers. Attorneys have infested the program and the result of their work is what we have today.
