Did Peter ever learn to hold on to the ball? Seems that's necessary at the next level.

In 2012, Moore had 4 fumbles in 6 games, and Nguyen had 3 fumbles in 11 games and was the returner. In 2011, Nguyen was credited with 2 fumbles. I believe 1 of those fumbles was actually Canada's, but got recorded incorrectly. In 2011, Nguyen lost 4 fumbles. In 2010, 1 fumble, I believe.

in 2010 PN fumbled 7 times, losing 4 of them. He touched the ball 73 times (17 runs, 5 passes caught, 24 punt returns, 27 kick returns) for a fumble every 10.43 touches, and a lost fumble every 18.25 touches.

in 2011 PN fumbled 5 times, and lost 2. He touched the ball 185 times (151 runs, 17 passes caught, 5 punt returns and 12 kick returns) for a fumble every 37 touches, and a lost fumble every 92.5 touches.

in 2012 PN fumbled 3 times, all lost, in 199 touches (158 runs, 21 passes caught, 17 punts and 3 kick returns) for a fumble (and lost) every 66.37 touches.

Total for these 3 years is 15 fumbles, 9 lost in 457 touches, a fumble every 30.46 touches and a lost fumble every 50.8 touches.

Dan Moore in 2010 did not fumble in 19 touches (13 runs, 3 caught passes, 3 kick returns).

in 2011 DM did not fumble in 132 touches (120 runs, 12 passes caught)

in 2012 DM fumbled 4 times, all lost in 87 touches (76 runs, 11 passes caught) for a fumble (and lost) every 21.75 touches

For these 3 years DM had 4 fumbles, all lost, in 238 touches, for a fumble (and lost fumble) every 59.5 touches.

It's hard not to remember Lex, who fumbled (if I remember correctly) only twice in his career--and one of them was on a gimmick play, a hook and lateral...despite carrying the ball a ton.

This just goes to show how dumb most of eGriz is. Both Peter and Dan were good running backs, but people who harp on Peter for fumbling are completely blind to the second half of last year when Moore was coughing it up left and right.

Agreed. Both had very good careers, and were exciting to watch. Both had strong work ethics, and hearts of champions. Both are very nice guys. No one likes fumbles or bad plays, including players, but no fumble or bad play by either of them diminished my view of them in any respect. I have nothing but respect for them and their quality of play. I loved how Moore was able to fight back from bad injuries, with basically hard work and desire. They will be missed.
