perspective on lady griz loss

tonight, vandy stomped west virginia, a five seed, by 18. then utep, featuring two lightening-quick guards of the type i've always hoped we could get at montana, together with a 6'5" polish center who set all kinds of school scoring records, took their 27 wins and perfect conference record into maples pavilion and got massacred, stanford up by 40 with a few minutes to go. so it looks like vandy is better than we knew, and even quality teams like utep can fall on the faces at the big dance.
 
I too noticed Vandy's big win over West Virginia, and thought it put the LG's loss into some perspective. I wonder if the WVa fans are calling for their coach's head?

obviously, I cant claim to have known that, but I figured as much prior to the game

consider the McD's All-American games...

the boys college choices pretty much spanned the country... Nevada, USC, UNC (3), Oregon, UCLA (2), Ariz, Georgetown, Ohio St (2), GT, Oklahoma, WF, Alabama, Virginia, Rutgers, FSU, UConn, Duke, and 2 undecided...

the girls choices...
UConn (2), Tennessee (5), Miami, Maryland, Rutgers (5), Ohio St, UNC (2), LSU (3), Texas, USC (2), and Stanford

for womens basketball, can you say 'parity'? I can't
