I never blamed a coach when I didn't play as well as I wanted to. Sometimes the basket looks 6 feet around, sometimes 6 inches. Sometimes things that happen in your life take away your peak concentration. Sometimes you find out something disturbing in your life and don't have time to process and dump it before the game, the kind of things that a rah rah speech won't reach. There is one small group of players who's actions poisoned this team coming out of the locker room against Weber and it took 2 quarters for the rest of the team to put that behind them and play like they can. When I heard about Strong I knew the Griz would lose to Weber, but I was very pleased to see their second half performance, put that crap behind them, and now they can go forward without that distraction.
On the other hand, It's so great to know that many on here haven't lost their crystal balls and can assure us that none of this would have happened if Stitt wasn't the coach. Should be plenty of Powerball winners from the Egriz roster after tomorrow nights drawing.
Not sure about it not happening if some others were the head coach, but I assure you we would not have been down 34-6 at halftime if Hauck was our coach.
I do not understand how people can make such comments! There is NO WAY to know what the score would have been with a different coach
Pretty easy when we have 7 years of history to make that argument
