Just an opinion on my part. Lots of reasons point to it: Leg is controlled by repubs who hate liberal dems like Williams; Same party in power would love to poke Schweitzer in the eye by rejecting his nominee; Repubs want to send Bullock a message that confirmation is not always going to be a rubber stamp; recent controversy over Williams' less than diplomatic comments is only part of it, IMHO.
