53 guys saw the field including Noah Kaschmitter for the first time this season. He didn't look out of place, held up pretty well. Interesting that Jareb Ramos who was getting a lot of reps at NT early in the year has not played the last two games. Genatone is a player who has worked his way back on the field on Special Teams, that was good to see.

Guys who dressed but didn't play; Williams, Vidlak, Ah Yat, T.Rostad, Osteen, Dreis, Freitas, B.Lang, Klumph, N.Ramos, J.Ramos, and McPherson. Brown and Huot were both there; wearing jerseys but in shorts and not dressed out.

Guys I didn't see; None of the freshman except Ah Yat, Campbell, Longin, Whitehead, Alford, McGurran, Dantic, Huff, Croy, Evans, Walton, Henricksen, Barney, Lincoln,Ray, Finch, Weida, or Smith.

Only logical explanation on Ramos is they’re trying to preserve a year? Would love to see Ramos and Gubner and Detrick and Harris all on the field at the same time.

Barney was on a punt or kick off team when watching for the 2nd time.

I think you might be getting Barnum mixed up with Barney.

Ramos/kaschmitter and gub in the middle, and Edwards/Harris on the outsides.

Kaschmitter is a very good player, finally back, and got about a dozen plays.

What's this 'Land of the Great White Cow'? Where did that come from? Never heard it before.
It's just a really bad pun by a bored guy on a Thanksgiving Monday. New Zealand is called the "Land of the Long White Cloud" and I heard the TV guys saying that the students had picked a cow as UC Davis's new mascot. So I ran with it.

Is there a website showing which players actually started a particular game? Not the 2-deep. I’m asking about actual, after-the-fact starts. I swear gogriz had this info, along with number of games played, but I cannot seem to find it. Thanks!

I really appreciate these posts, Sask. Thank you so much for doing them.

Also, this really highlights how remarkable it is what NFL teams do each week. The Griz had 53 players play; the NFL can only have 53 on their active rosters. When you start doing the math, you really realize how thin they are at some positions each week, and how a few injuries can be disastrous.

Are you talking about you is actually on the field for the first offensive and defensive snaps of the game? I can probably come pretty to close to figuring it out from the video but it might not be as revealing as one might think. For example; Bergen is listed as a starter but if he takes the opening kickoff back 40 yards, he's probably catching his breath and someone like Racanelli is in for the first snap or two. Either way, I'll give it a shot and see what the videos show.

Yes, and yes please and thank you.
There is an official count for “starts” somewhere—I’ve seen it. It’s a spreadsheet but I think it may be a yearend compilation as they track the number of starts just like games played.
