Number of 2012 HS seniors/2013 UM freshman on 2017 roster...over/under 5

Number of 2013 HS seniors/2014 UM freshman on 2017 roster...over/under 5

Stitt came in after 2014 season, 2015 Stitt's first year HC. 2013 freshman are 2017 redshirt seniors.

2013 UM freshman includes Favors, McKinley, Delaney, Strahm, Simis, Ralston, Reese, Schey and Sprunk. These are the ones I can think of. Definitely over 5 for this group.

2014 UM freshman still on the team gets interesting.

Can you include the number of players in these classes who left after Stitt arrived?

That would actually be an interesting side discussion. Of the guys that left or were cut, who of them ended up somewhere contributing in a way that they probably would have helped the Griz?

Manu the safety at Hawaii jumps to mind as one for sure.

Or ones that were not good enough. Lot's of reasons for not remaining including injuries.

That was kind of my point.

My view is that every player, or even every person in business, who leaves after a new coach, CEO, boss or leader comes in, doesn't leave because they weren't good enough. Manu is a case in point.

True more true than my last comment. That's the basis of this thread. How a team suffers from coaches leaving and new coaches coming in. Recruits in many cases are loyal to specific coaches. Other recruits may just want to be a Griz and that's their greatest loyalty. Education another factor. Any HS player recruited at this level is a very high quality athlete and most are good students to top notch students.
Looking at the players who have stayed from the 2013 and 2014 classes plus the previous three or four years they endured alot of brain damage with the coaching carousel. 2013 and 2014 remaining freshman stuck out as few...but some great ones.
