Out of Area TV Coverage?

I'm in California and am disappointed that I may not be able to watch any Griz games this year. Last year, America One carried streaming broadcasts of the games which was great. This year, it seems that the new TV contracts do not have any out of market visibility. Does anyone have knowledge of options for us "remote" fans? I have searched around and have not come up with anything.

Best option is if you have friends or family in Montana that will hook up a slingbox for you. I've been doing it that way for 8 years.

i just switched to Direct TV and signed up for the sports package which includes Root Sports (they will be airing 8 of the griz games this year).

To me since I reside in San Diego this topic should have more attention.

I'm an old alum and a very avid Griz fan. I think the UM will do more for its fan base outside Montana by continuing Big Sky TV or mandating their TV contracts have streaming capabilities for out-of-starters'. Fans like us will gladly pay for it.

I'll always love UM but my attitude may change if streaming is not available. I remember only being able to view/read about a game in the paper the next day and I didn't like it but lived with it. Then, I could listen to the radio. I didn't like that either but lived with it. When the capabilities exist I can't see many reasons why the UM should limit exposure of its football games to its avid fans/alum that reside outside Montana. Today, I can live without viewing UM football. I'll just go back to reading about the results and summary from a Missoulian article the following day. Likewise, I will think twice about traveling many miles to support our team when they visit Portland, Sacramento, San Luis Obispo. To me one gets back what they give. May-be surfing is more fun on a Saturday afternoon and its only five minutes away from me.

I'm really curious about internet radio coverage. It seemed last year that as the season progressed the stations that carried the Griz and had internet streaming seemed to turn it off when the game started. I presume this was a 'rights' thing. Does anyone know if the radio broadcast will be available in the internet? Sometimes the radio broadcast was better than the Big Sky TV coverage, so I'd like to get it.
