Couple of ranked FCS team playing tonight (NC A&T on TV ... ESPNU).

#9 Citadel (with the handicap of the late move in location) not exactly overwhelming its D-II opponent.

#18 North Carolina A&T finally starting to assert itself, at home against Norfolk State ... a team that has not won a game so far this year and has gone 15-31 over that past four seasons. So far, underwhelmed (to say the least) by what I see of A&T. But they do have better players than Norfie ... which has a grand total of 8 yards rushing with less that 2 min left in the half.

One FCS game on tonight -- but not between ranked teams. New Hampshire visiting Elon ... UNH leads 7-3 at the half. (Streaming on an Elon portal, but that's it.)

Strange game. UNH dominated the stat sheet: 391 to 241 in total yards, 34:30 in TOP, and so on. Yet they won by just a FG, 13-10.

So far, none of the ranked teams has been, or is being tested. #9 Citadel pounded a D-II, 38-14, after a slow start. And #18 North Carolina A&T walloped a really bad Norfolk State team, 35-0. Now #14 Villanova is walking all over Rhode Island, 21-0 just into Q2.

In each case, it's pretty hard to tell how good the ranked team is because the opponent is so bad.

Cornell at #22 Harvard, just starting, might be competitive since both teams are undefeated.

Did I hear EWU has their hands full today?

They did. EWU 49-31 but NO COL made a game of it. EWU defense still sucks. I think EWU has the edge but Griz have the best shot at beating them this year.

No likely upsets of ranked teams brewing, but SELA is leading #20 McNeese, 21-17, with a bit over 5 min left in Q3. And #19 Eastern Illinois is struggling with Tennessee State, up only a point, with about 3 min left in Q3.
