OT in WaGriz

Everyone in the North endzone should get a x-mas holiday card from BH for the false start on the attempted 2-pt conversation.

Contrary to most stadiums, if an opponent wins the toss, they should not pick defense first.

Instead, it is more important to pick the south endzone.

Thank goodness that game ended when it did. Some items I saw thrown on the field:
Can of Copenhagen (x2),
Empty, plastic mini bottles of booze (multiple; mini-Fireballs and Crowns),
Empty Buzz ball bottle (1), and
Bubcat figurine (1).

Add twinkies. Win with class. Lose with class. North endzone fans were all over the throwers. Fight in South Endzone had people removed. Ones I observed were not season ticket holders from my area in North Endzone for what it is worth.

I disagree. We had that play defensed perfectly and it would NOT have succeeded. There’d have been no OT. The false start actually gave them additional life because it forced them to kick the XP…

Agree, they weren’t gonna get that

Just like they had the touchdown play defensed perfectly?

Come on. That was an absolute prayer Huff threw up there…I mean, give him credit, but I don’t think that is a completion 3 out of 10 times.

My point was even if it looked like they had it defensed perfectly, doesn't mean they stop them.

I agree. But i stand by my opinion. I think the penalty actually HURT us and extended the game. We’ll never know, obviously.

I think their coach even said as much in the presser.

Maybe, maybe not. The play was whistled dead and the players slowed down so don’t think you can say much about it’s success, but that’s not the point of this thread. The five thousand x-mas cards BH owes, and the miscellaneous and harmless objects thrown on the field were merely incidental to the bigger issue—playing at that end of the field.

Furman chose poorly, and they likely would have gone for 2 again in OT. And again in the North endzone.

Under the new rules, I think they would switch ends for the second OT, but once we get to OT #3, it’s ALL 2-pt tries from then until a winner is crowned. And I believe all would be in the North Endzone again. If so, it’s a no brainer that it’s more important to pick the south end than to go on D first

Yeah, that was weird.
