Oregonian Writer: Remember what happened to Robin Pflugrad

I sent Goe an email note Saturday, and I think he doesn't like Hauck. He responded: “Thanks for your note. I like Robin Pflugrad too, but am not a Hauck fan. I think he plays fast-and-loose with rules. And he wasn’t ushered out of UNLV because he was so successful.”

From one of the articles I posted in the News section, there were several reader comments on Hauck's after-game press conference:

• “Classy comments Coach Hauck. Thank you.”

• “I like the griz' coach. Seems like a good dude.”

• “He was great in his first go-around at Montana and it looks like he's getting it together again. UNLV just must be a tough place to win for some reason.”

• “An honest and accurate assessment, good for him.”

• “His Dline stuffed the Ducks a lot. Several negative rushing plays and many 1 or 2 yard gains. Our offense looked like it was playing a pac 12 defense. Somewhat concerning.”

I have actually never seen or heard anyone say that Hauck plays fast and loose rules.

What an odd comment. I assume that Goe doesn't have a clue what he is talking about.

You just described 90% of the articles he writes. He’s actually not a bad writer (in the technical sense), just a lousy reporter. He consistently lets bias into just about everything he writes. Remind you of anyone?
