I just read that Penn St gave Idaho $1.45 million last week
So now I'm wondering whats Montana's payout next week?

It will be about half of that. Penn State inked the deal with Idaho when they were still FBS and they had no clause to change the payout if Idaho dropped to FCS.

Maybe the Missoulian reporter should be asking Haslam questions like this, instead of asking players questions relating to last season.

I think you should continue your rant in the other thread and not bleed it into others....I really want that thread to hit 17 pages.

650k to play Oregon. That is pretty standard payout for these games. The 1.4 million for Idaho was waaaaay above average.

Pretty sure the Griz had the number 2 payout behind Idaho for FCS teams playing up. Idaho got this due to a contract set up when they were still FBS. Hero Sports or another FCS media outlet showed the top FCS payouts on a slide recently.

Edit: Here is an article from USAToday which discusses Idaho's payout from Penn State.

Usually the FBS teams get paid a lot more then the fcs teams. Idaho found a loophole by dropping down to fcs, those sneaky spuds.

Yes and I think last year's payout was even bigger for them. As stated, they were/are simply getting the FBS pay. So until contracts they made prior are exhausted they will be getting paid what the big little boys get paid.

Not nearly enough for the Griz to go to Eugene IMO.

Not in any way saying we will beat Oregon. We will not. But Oregon is looking like hammered shit right now against Nevada.

Now if they could only find a loophole on how to play football.
