Well, for the hockey fans who aren't going to the Stones, it's the opening night for the NHL!

Games on Versus (was OLN) tonight are the 'Canes and the Sabres, Avs and the Stars! (and a host of others if you have the NHL Center Ice package.)

Here's to a great season!

Today is gonna be an awesome day:

1) Im going to the Rolling Stones

but more importantly

2) HOCKEY'S BACK!!

Im mad that I wont be able to watch the first Avs game, but im just really excited that the seasons starting today.

Great! Bring your Griz rain-bag with you, it's breezy and partly cloudy on campus right now, but no rain. Later tonight might be a different story, although I think everyone is going to luck out. Definite buzz here on campus. Stage is done and the Stones are in the building.

I'm going to watch so I'll let you know how it goes, (Colorado finally updated their webpages too!) The Avs looked good in preseason. Sorry to see Konowalchuck have to retire, he's going to be missed. Sakic, Hedjuk and Svatos were looking sharp. I think a couple of our rookies are going to post some numbers too. Stasny is on the starting roster as is Wolski.

Fun fun fun!

Its great that hockey has started but I was not too impressed with my Wings the other night. Granted Vancouver is gonna be a heck of a team but Detroit didn't look great. Hopefully they bounce back tonight.

Howdy! I got sucked into Homecoming prep activites and lost track of reporting.. The Avs lost the first 2 in OT, and beat the Canucks at home. Then were off for 5 days (how crazy is that?). I'm hoping to be home for the Avs-Oilers game tonight, alot will depend on how much celebration there is this afternoon after the Griz game. I've got the recorder set to cover my bases.

Caught the North Dakota-Wisconsin game last night on CSTV, ND pulled it out in OT to beat the defending NCAA Champs. Even with graduations and the NHL Draft, they have alot of returning talent (3 Hobie Baker Candidates), we'll most likely be seeing both teams in April. Great Game!

Be off to the stadium in an hour or so! Go get 'em GRIZ!
