OMG: ISU Over EWU

Does not really change the Big Sky standings, but Idaho State just went into Eastern Washington and pulled off a win, 68-63. Every time EWU made a run to take the lead, the Bengals answered. (Only 27 fouls called, pretty evenly split between the two teams.)

Call me crazy if you want, I think EWU did this on purpose. I think they WANT the Griz. I think Legans wants payback for past years. And quite honestly, I think Legans is exactly the guy to do this. Just a thought......

Ok, you’re crazy! They already swept us in convincing fashion and when you have a chance to win a second straight regular season title, you don’t shit that away so you can get paired against the Griz. I’d be pissed if I were a player or the AD.

Yeah, coaches love to lose so game planning a loss makes total sense. I can guarantee you that Legans is not happy.

Ida Griz, doesn't change the standing much. However, since ISU won against EWU, then that pretty much guarantees that ISU won't have to play until next Thursday at 2 pm against either the #4 or #5 seed -- with ISU having the other #4 or #5 spot. Whereas if they would have lost last night and lost again tomorrow, then they'd probably be playing a play-in game on Tuesday here in Boise. In any event, I think it was an impressive win for this up and coming program.

Did not mean to imply that it was not an impressive win, It WAS ... and important. That's particularly true considering the scenario you paint. Sometimes the numbers by themselves are less important than the overall situation/trend. Seems like the Bengals could be peaking at just the right time.

I think Montana will do well in the tourney. Too bad each school will only get 100 tickets each! We had trouble with UM because they're taller, and we had a tough time with their man to man defense. Plus Montana's pretty good at hitting their free throws and we suck.
