Just watched ODU win the Colonial Conference tourney. Way to go, Blaine. Hope ODU does well in the big dance.

Great game to watch!!!!! Lead changing every time down the court almost.
Went into overtime with ODU coming out on top. I think the announcers saidODU hadn't been to the big dance since 1977.
Way to go Blaine!

I thought Blaine did an increasingly poor job as his time at UM went on. It sure seems like he's done an excellent job with Old D however.

Did you hear the announcers mentioning how Krysco, through his connections to Luc Longley, brought that Australian player, who has since become their star player, to Blaine Taylor???How about you start bringing in some of those Aussie's to the Griz instead of giving them away next time Larry?

On another note, I know that the Griz are heavily recruiting a player out of the Miami area to become the heir apparent to Kamaar Davis. It will be interesting to see who the coaches land to replace the big man>>

gotgame- is the player the GRIZ are recruiting from Miami HS or JC? ANy more info you can provide would be appreciated.

Krysco has said before that he hopes to take advantage of that recruiting pipe line.

gotgame, that happened when Krysko was still on Taylor's staff at ODU. Larry talked about it at his press conference when he was hired at UM. Krysko mentioned his NBA connections and how they helped get the Australian player to ODU. He said it should also help him get some recruits at UM.

ESPN.com mention of it:
Loughton played on the Perth team owned by Luc Longley, who called his friend Larry Krystowiak to check on college prospects for Loughton. Krystowiak was an assistant coach at Old Dominion at the time. Next thing you know, Taylor had himself a big man.
