Ok. How about forming a new conference?

I am in favor of reconstructing the old Big Sky Conference, with Gonzaga and Idaho in the mix. There is no reason why Gonzaga should play in the conference they currently do. Get rid of the Dakota schools. Too far away to be practical.

Are you kidding? The WCC is perfect for Gonzaga: a bunch private, mostly Catholic schools that don't play football. Why on earth would they want to join the Big Sky?

Is the MWC even willing to expand at this point?

I guess we'll find out. My hunch is it will happen relatively soon. In either event, it would make little sense for Montana to join another conference

The only way it happens if the top programs leave and join Power 5 schools.

If that happened, it would make no sense for the griz to join a weak fbs conference.
