The results are in. There was a lot of movement this week. I think a lot of voters were impressed by Montana's performance on the road against UC Davis. Voters were also less impressed with NSDU this week, perhaps because Davis took the Bizon down to the wire in Fargo. Thanks, as always, to the voters! Enjoy:

(First Place Votes)

1. NDSU (17)
2. JMU (6)
3. South Dakota State
4. Weber State
5. Villanova
6. Montana
7. Furman
8. Kennesaw State
9. Illinois State
10. Towson
11. UC Davis
12. Montana State
13. Central Arkansas
14. Northern Iowa
15. NC A&T
16. Nicholls
17. Youngstown State
18. Delaware
19. Southeast Louisiana
20. Maine
21. EWU
22. Jacksonville State
23. Southeast Missouri State
24. Stony Brook
25. Princeton

Others receiving votes (Alphabetical Order): Austin Peay, Dartmouth, Elon, Central Connecticut, Choate's Left Tusk, Citadel (the), Houston Baptist, Indiana State, NDSU's Second Team, Sac State, Sam Houston State, South Carolina State, Your Mom.

Thanks everyone! This should be a nice preview of next week's STATS Poll; friggin' hacks.

Choate's Left Tusk is rocketing up the charts!

In all seriousness, I was surprised to see UM jump so many spots. Our voters are a pretty diverse group when it comes to fandom. Most of the Bozeman fans even had the Griz higher than the Bobcats. Bozeman's ranking was hurt this week by a less-than-stellar start against NAU. I personally had them higher than #12, but it looks like a lot of voters thought Bozeman was finally exposed as one-dimensional, and that it will eventually hurt them against teams that play four quarters. JMU is starting to get some more love in the form of first place votes, too. That's an interesting development.

And, yes, we do get some random "entities" that receive votes in the 20-25 range. This is likely a function of some voters losing interest when it comes to ranking teams above 20.

I thought the Griz should be ahead of Weber, and as much a I hate the Cats, they should be higher, ahead of Cal Davis. As poorly as the Cats played in the first half, they played really well in the second half. This poll is gonna be interesting after this week. I could see Illinois State upsetting NDSU! JMU has no walk in the park vs Stony Brook and Villanova coming up. SDSU and NDSU will play later. I can't believe MSU and Weber are ahead of us in t he coaches poll., but it'll all come out in the wash. Gonna be some changes after next week for sure. Thanks for putting this together CDA.

Hilarious interview with Mike Leach, and this is obviously the appropriate thread for such topic..
