ODU to FBS 2013

Why wouldn't ya? Montana is small time, enjoy playing at Southern Utah (in front of 1500) for years to come. Most schools have a clue.

Love it or leave it. preferably the latter. I hear there is plenty of room on the kitty bandwagon if it is so bad here. :finger:

I actually have a lot of faith that the powers that be are putting a lot of thought into this and numbers have been crunched multiple times, other schools have been spoken to. The Montana admin knew what they were doing when they did not pursue the WAC and will wait to see how this all falls before making a decision to move up.

Absolutely, when it shakes out in the next five years there will be 4 or 5 megaconferences. All this moving about means nothing. When it's come to Jesus time Appy, ODU, the Sun Belt, WAC, Mt West, MAC, CUSA and even Boise State are going to be on the outside looking in as far as big boy football. The table has been set.

When it happens we can find our niche and compete against our peers. Grasping at straws for a few years in a fictional big boy conference is a recipe for disaster. Most of the Big East will be on the outside looking in, the competitive football schools are fleeing the Big East. Duke and Nortwestern could be on the outside when this comes about when it comes to football. I don't like it personally because I love underdogs like Clemson, NW, Duke, small schools with academic standards swimming with big fish. Alas they can't compete in football. As much as I embrace this scenario, college football is all about the money and I have no doubt the Big 10 (12) would throw Nortwestern under the bus versus bringing in someone like Oklahoma.

I'm not gonna lie, sometimes, it feels (with the good FCS teams movin up - Appy, ODU, Liberty (perennial playoff team) - and others), that in the next 5 years if the Griz win a National Championship, it'll be because the good teams left...Hopefully others will step up, but until then it may feel like being the bus driver of the short bus.

We will be back in the same division with them when the Big Dogs in FCS freeze them out which is coming in case you missed it. If you think it won't I have a bridge to sell you. So it really doesn't matter :o
